About Mahila Mahavidyalay Sonpur
Ram Sundar Das Mahila Mahavidyalay Sonpur was founded in 1983 by Ramsundar Das. Superior General of the Apostolic Carmel. It was the first institution of learning opened to cater to the educational needs of women in Sonpur Bihar. Ramsundar Das, the founder, named it Ram Sundar Das Mahila Mahavidyalay and presented it as a gift to the females of Bihar, thereby placing at their disposal an opportunity for education. It was Ramsundar Das firm belief that the upliftment of Sonpur Bihar lay in liberating its womenfolk by providing them with opportunities for education i.e., by empowering them. |
